The Full Form of C.F.C. is ChloroFluoroCarbons. These C.F.C. were the reason for depletion in ozone layer which protects us from Ultraviolet Rays coming from the sun.

C.F.C. are used as refrigerants and in fire extinguishers. The United Nations Environment Programme succeeded in forging an agreement to freeze C.F.C. production in 1987.
