Function of protoplasm is to protect the cell from mechanical shocks or injuries which is same as the function of cerebrospinal fluid in brain.

Meristematic tissues have the ability to divide , thus they promote growth in shoot , root and other parts .

Epidermis of leaves helps to prevent excess loss of water from leaves and promotes gaseous exchange.

Parenchyma is associated with storage of food in plants.

Collenchyma provides mechanical support and flexibility to the plant.

Function of Meristematic tissue :

It helps the plant to increase its girth and lateral growth of its stems , branches , roots ....

Function of Epidermal leaves :

It protects the plant from water loss , regulates gas exchange , secretes metabolic compounds and absorbs water in roots..

Function of Parenchyma:

The main function of Parenchyma is assimilation and storage of reserve food material such as starch , fats , proteins etc .

Function of Collenchyma:

They act as a supporting tissue to the plants........
