Kidneys are the main excretory organs of human. In each kidney there are millions of nephrons. Nephron is the excretory(filtering) unit of kidney.
The main functions of Kidneys are:

It regulates pH of the blood.

It regulates the Osmotic pressure of water balance of the blood.
3.
It removes poisonous substances like urea and other salts along with the excess water from the blood and urine that is excreted out from the body.
