The nucleus is a body component present inside the cells. It mainly controls the functions and activities of the cell. Only bacteria and some algae do not contain nuclei. It also contains information related to genes and hereditary matters. Mostly one cell contains one nucleus. It is surrounded by the membrane.  

The structure of the Nucleus has the following major parts:

(1) Nuclear membrane  

(2) Nuclear sap  

(3) Chromatin network  

(4) Nucleolus  

(5) Endosomes.

The main function of the nucleus is

(1) To regulate the functions of the cell.

(2) To generate enzymes

(3) To contain DNA
