Transpiration is the process of taking in oxygen to oxidize food and to exhale the impurities such as carbon dioxide from our body.

Transpiration :- Evaporation of water molecules from the cells of a leaf create a suction which pulls water from the xylem cells of roots. The loss of water in the form of vapour from the Aerial parts of the plant is called as transpiration.

Function :-

It helps in the absorption and upward movement of water and minerals dissolved in it form roots to the leaves.

It helps in the regulation of the temperature.
