• They are Unicellular and Eukaryotic organisms.

• Some form colonies too.

• Flagella and Cilia have (9 + 2) pattern of microtubule organisation consisting of Tubulin Protein.

• Modes of Nutrition are Holozoic, Parasitic and Mixotrophic.

• Life cycle is of two types- Zygotic Meiosis and Gametic Meiosis.

• Some Parasitic Protists may cause diseases like Dysentery, Malaria etc.
