Hola..!!

The general form of four types of reactions are :
(i) Combination reaction
The reaction in which two or more substances combine to form a single substance is called combination reaction.
e.g.— C + O2 —> CO2

(ii) Decomposition reaction
The reaction in which a single reactant breaks down to simpler products is called decomposition reaction.
e.g.— CaCO3 —(heat) —> CaO + CO2

(iii) Displacement reaction
The reaction in which an element displaces another element from its compound is called displacement reaction.
e.g.— Fe + CuSO4 —-> FeSO4 + Cu

(iv) Double displacement reaction
The reaction in which there is an exchange of ions between the reactants are called double displacement reaction.
e.g.— Na2SO4 + BaCl2 —-> BaSO4 + 2NaCl
