3) How many ink cartridges can you buy with 198 dollars if one cartridge costs 18 dollars ?

4) After paying 6 dollars for the ple, Nancy has 94 dollars left How much money did she have before buying the pie ?​

Answer:

1)  6 cups- 4 cups  = 2 cups

Cups needed to prepare recipe = x = 6

The cups already put = y = 4

The cups to be added are = x-y = 6-4 =2 cups

2)

total roses in vase at the begining= x=  8

total roses in the vase at the end =  y =14

The roses cut by Joan = y-x = 14-8 =6

3) 1 catrige cost = 18 dollars

Total amount available = 198

Number of catridges that we can buy using 198 dollars = 198/18= 11

4) Pie cost = x =6 dollars

Remaining dollars =y= 94

total dollars  before buying = x+y = 100 dolars
