As per recent estimates high growth across maximum developing world has helped half billion people escape $1.25-a-day poverty between the years 2005-2010.  

Transformation is captured by 2 prominant trends: poor people are increasingly found in middle-income countries and fragile states.

Both trends and their intersection present significant new questions for how international community handles global poverty reduction.
