The traits we acquire/gain in our life are called acquired traits. Traits that we inherit/get from our parents are called inherited traits.
Inherited traits are caused due to any change in the germ cells whereas an acquired trait involves change in non-reproductive tissue so these can't be inherited.
Eg: Acquired- Body features, Skills
Inherited- Height, skin color etc.
