The specialty of Chikan work, frequently alluded to as Lucknow Chikan, is more than 400 years of age with a firm nearness in the Indian and worldwide design field.
The strategy of its creation is called Chikankari and its remarkable sensibility displays beauty and style as inconspicuously as the wearer pleases.
While the word Chikan quite actually implies weaving, the fine art fuses roughly 36 diverse sewing systems that in present day times are regularly joined with embellishments of pearls, reflect and Mukaish.
In spite of the fact that generally it was done on Muslin material, white string on white texture, today it can be seen on different textures and hues, prevalently pastels.
While its focal center and place of starting point is Lucknow, Chikan work has spread far and wide inside India, with West Bengal and Awadh also work in its generation
