(i). The hybridization of [ Fe(H_{2}O)_{6} ]^{2+} is sp^3d^2 .  H_{2}O can not cause the pairing of electrons .

Due to the unpaired electrons , it is highly paramagnetic in nature .

(ii). The hybridization of [ Ni(CN)_{4} ]^{2-} is dsp^{2} . CN^{-} can cause the pairing of electrons .

All the electrons are paired in the complex . So, the complex is diamagnetic in nature .
