The Russian Revolution had a great impact on the freedom struggle of India as well as on Independent India. The Russian Revolutionaries firstly supported the anti-colonial movements and were against the imperialism. The Russian Revolution created the a group of socialist freedom writers like Bhaghat Singh and infused them the spirit of revolutionaries activities in achieving their goals.

The Russian Revolution made the peasants and industrial workers to turn against the British as well as against Indian capitalists. There began indefinite strikes of workers. They protested against the Rowlat Act 1919. Moreover Socialism made its apace in Indian National Movement and thus we see forming of All India Trade Union and Communist Party of India which played a decisive role in the freedom struggle of India. Non-Cooperation Movement lead by Gandhi was very much influenced by The Russian Revolution.

The Russian Revolution also influenced the Constitution and Govt. of India after Independence. India adopted the mixed economy due to the influence of Russian Revolution. Agrarian and industrial reformers were also influenced by the Russian Revolution.
