stomata helps in gaseous exchange and transpiration. they open to take in co2 and leave O2 and water.

Stomata plays an important role in plants
Stomata are actually tiny pores present in the leaves , stems or other parts of the plant.
It is through the stomata , where the exchange of gases, for photosythesis of plants ,takes place.
Also , it takes care that water is not evaporated.
