.✔Synthetic fibres are importantin our life because of multiple uses. Nylon is widely used in women's hosiery and lingerie. It is used in carpeting materials and upholstery fabrics because it is easy to clean.

The polymers which are synthesized in industries by using chemicals are called as Synthetic Polymers.
These are man made polymers.
Example: Polythene, Nylon (6,6), synthetic rubber(Buna- s).

1. Teflon is a special plastic on which oil and water do not stick.Teflon is used for giving non stick coating on cook wares like non stick frying pans.
2.Bakelite is used for making handles of cooking utensils.
3. Melamine is a fire resistant plastic.
4.Poly Vinyl chloride is used for making insulation of electrical wires , pipes etc.
5. Polythene is used in making plastic bags, bottles etc.
