Gentlemen's Agreement was signed between the leaders of Telangana and Andhrapradesh. This agreement led the merger of Telangana and Andhrapradesh as Combined Andhra pradesh. After signing this agreement Hyderabad became the capital of andhra pradesh. The main points of this agreement were :
》 If the cheif minister is from Andhra pradesh then the deputy cheif minister should be from Telangana and vice versa.
》 It also supported the Mulki rules. As per this rules the residence of minimum 12 years are eligible for jobs in Telangana.
》According to this agreement Regional council was setup for the development of Telangana.
》 The ministry is consist of 60% members from Andhra pradesh and 40% from Telangana.
》 As per this agreement the natural resources of Telangana should be used for the welfare of Telangana.
