the water pollution in ganga and yamuna are mainly bcoz of dumping of industrial and chemical waste directly into the water bodies with out diluting them and also some reasons like washing clothes and animals by the people and pouring the ashes of human beings after they are dead . According to Hindu religion it's believed that by pouring the the remaining ashes into the holy river the dead would go to the heaven so it's getting more and more exploited .Can you believe it there used to be dolphins in ganga river before there pollution but actually after pollution there number is decreasing rapidly



And coming to taj Mahal it's believed and admired to be the the symbol of love .
but after industrial revolution more and more oil factories are planted around the area of taj Mahal .they will be releasing sulphuric acid into air in form of mist it mixes with water and falls as acid rain and it results in changing of white marbles into yellowish colour
