Let the required integer be x.

According to question,

x = (-x) – 2, where -x is the additive inverse of x.

Let the integer = x

It's additive inverse = -x

(-x) - x = 2

=> -2x = 2

=> x = 2/(-2)

=> x = -1

Required integer(x) = -1

It's additive inverse= 1
