write the laws of reflection
Answers
ANSWER :-
⍟ Reflection :-
According to our light concept , bouncing back of light from its actual position is called reflection.
⍟ Note :-
Light always travels in a straight line or straight path.
⍟ Laws -of - reflection :-
- When light gets reflected from a surface , angle of reflection is equal to angle of incidence
- Incident ray , normal at the point of incidence and reflected ray , all lie at the same plane called plane of reflection
- Incident ray and reflected ray lie on either side of normal
Reflection of Light
When the ray of light fall on an object it may be observed , transmitted or reflected. If an object absorbs all the light which fall on it , then it will appear perfectly black e.g., blackboard etc.
Thus, reflection of light may be definite as the process of sending back the rays which fall on the surface of the object i.e., silver metal is the best reflector of light.
Definition : When the ray of light fall on any object (mirror) and bouncing back at the same direction is called reflection of light.
Law of reflection
There are two law of reflection
1.⇒ The incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal (at the point of incidence) all lie in the same plane.
2.⇒ Angle of reflection is always equal to angle of incidence.
∠i = ∠ r .
