Law of Refraction

The law of refraction, which is generally known as Snell's law, governs the behaviour of light-rays as they propagate across a sharp interface between two transparent dielectric media.

hope this helps you ☺

The laws of refraction are

1) The angle of incidence, the angle of refraction and the normal to the surface of separation lie on the same plane.

2) The ratio of the sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of refraction is a constant, for a particular pair of media and for a particular colour of light.

i.e. sin I / sin R = constant

Also known as Snell's Law
