Dear Sir,
I would like to draw your attention and through you of your valued readers about the colossal wastage of food that takes place in lavish Indian Weddings.
In a country where people die of starvation, the rich in our cities and towns splurge on a massive scale for Weddings. Instead of focusing on the happy event of tying the nuptial knot of their children, parents are busy flaunting their wealth. This kind of exhibitionism ought to stop and people must learn to check wastage.
I appeal to your readers requesting them to lower their wedding budget. It would be a great gesture to give away to charities a part of the fund especially allocated for food. This would go a long way in feeding the hungry and providing care to the sick and unsheltered. It is imperative that every family takes a rational approach towards weddings making them more meaningful.
Yours Sincerely
