parenchyma- composed of unspecailised living cells with relatively thin cell walls, loosely packed,large intracellular space, present in soft parts of the plants . these are also called rounded or isodiametric. location - stem, roots,leaves, flower and fruits.

function - storage of food and provide support to plant , serves as a packaging tissue, to fill the space between other tissue and maintain the shape and firmess of the plant due to its turgid cells, transport of materials across through cells or cell walls of parenchyma cells, also exchange of gases take place, also stores waste products of plants such as gum,tanin etc
