Explanation:

Acid dissociate H+ ions in aqueous solution & turns blue litmus to red while base dissociate OH- ion in aqueous solution & turns red litmus to blue. Neutralization is the process in which neutral salt are formed when acid & base reacts with each other. ... when weak acid react with strong base, basic salt is formed.

Neutralization is the process in which neutral salt are formed when acid & base reacts with each other. Ex - NaOH + HCl---> NaCl+ H2O. Formation of. I) acidic salt. when strong acid react with weak base , acidic salt is formed.

Difference between acid and base:

1. Acids are sour in test while bases are bitter in test .

2. If the PH of solution is below 7 then it is acidic and if the PH is above 7 then the solution is basic

3.if the PH of the solution is equal to 7 then it is neutral.

4.Acid turns blue litmus paper to red while bases changes the rezd litmus paper to blue

Neutralisation:

neutralization is the process in which salts are formed .

Formation of acidic ,basic and neutral salt:

1. when a strong acid reacts with strong base a neutral salt is formed .

2. When a weak acid reacts with strong base then a basic salt is formed.

3. When a weak base reacts with a strong acid than acidic salt is formed.

Example:

NaOH+HCl ---> NaCl+H2O
