The main parts of the ear are:

• outer ear
• middle ear
• eardrum
• inner ear

Eardrum is a thin membrane like structure that vibrates on receiving sound. once the sound is passed fast from the outer ear to the ear drum vibrating like the skin of a tabla when struck. the vibration part three bones in the middle ear and then into the inner ear. the vibrations are changed into signals in the inner ear and passed to the brain nerves (auditory nerves).
