Write the maximum and minimum values of sin θ.

sin θ = 0 when θ = 0 ˚, 180˚, 360˚.

Maximum value of sin θ is 1 when θ = 90 ˚. Minimum value of sin θ is –1 when θ = 270 ˚

. This maximum value occurs whenever sin x = 1 or cos x = 1. The minimum value of the function is m = A ‐ B.

SOLUTION :  

The maximum value of sin θ is 1 and the minimum value of sin θ is - 1. The value of sin θ lies between - 1 & 1.

Values of sin θ for some specific angles :  

sin 0° = 0

sin 30° = ½  

sin 45° = 1/√2

sin 60° = √3/2

sin 90° = 1

sin 120° = √3/2

sin 270° = - 1
