cummunicative f is 42 ,n is odd then median isn/2 is equal to 21th term .by class interval 45 is median .and 40-50 class is median

In the above question ,

The total number of frequency(n) is 50.

Now , the median class will be the c.f. of the corresponding class have a greater value of (n/2)th term.

Therefore, the cf of the class greater than 25 is 30-40.

Here,lower limit(l)=30 ,class size(h)=10,(n/2) =25, cumulative frequency of the preceding class(cf)=16,frequency of median class(f) =10.

Now, median= l + [[(n/2) - cf]/f]×h

=30 + [(25-16)/10]×10

=30 + 9

=39

Hence , the median is 39.
