  BHOPAL: The central election committee (CEC)of on Friday released its first list of 177 candidates for the is fielding from his old bastion Budhni assembly and 25 ministers of the present BJP cabinet from their traditional bastion.

The party slashed tickets of 63 MLAs in the first list with the biggest change in Gwalior East assembly constituency where cabinet minister Maya Singh was replaced by Satish Sikarwar, elder brother of MLA Satyapal Singh Sikarwar from Sumawali. Minister of state Harsh Singh was also replaced by Vikram Singh in Rampur-Baghelan seat.

Among the 177 names announced out of the total of 230 Assembly segments, 14 are women candidates, and 63 sitting MLAs have been replaced with new names. The party also repeated 95 MLAs who won the election during 2013, according to an party's official press release.
