alkali are the bases which are soluble in water and e.g. sodium hydroxide... tooth decay is related to ph if the ph value of our tooth decrease then it causes tooth decay...the ph 5.5 creates tooth decay...it can be prevented by using base such as toothpaste...
a bee sting cause pain and irritation bcoz it inserts its sting which has ph value less than 7 means acidic..rubbing of baking soda gives relief because it is a base and used as a antacid to neutralise the acidity...
