Owls ( Order : Strigiformes) are the only birds that have eyes similar to the human beings. They are nocturnal in nature. They have an upright stance and have 200 species on this planet. They are generally of solitary nature. They have a broad head, binocular vision and binaural hearing. Owls can rotate their heads and necks as much as 270°. They have a 14- neck vertebrae as compared to seven in humans and this renders their necks more flexible. 14 neck vertebrae compared to seven in humans, which makes their necks more flexible. The smallest owl is of 31 g (1 oz) and measures some 13.5 cm (5 inches) and it is the elf owl (Micrathene whitneyi)
They are carnivores in nature and feed on rodents, insects, etc.

Hope it helps!
