The name of five minerals and the useful substances obtained from them are as follows :

1.ALUMINIUM :

It is the most abundant Minerals in the earth's crust. The ore of aluminium is Bauxite. It is used in automobiles ,airplanes, canning industries, bottling industries, electrical industries etc.

2.COPPER :

It is used in wires, electric cables, heating elements ,switches, plumbing, roofing materials, electronic equipments, coins, jewellery etc.

3.GOLD :

It is used in jewellery, arts, dentistry, medicine, coins, electronic instruments, electrolyte etc.

4.ZINC :

It is used in rubber and paint industries as chemical compounds, alloying metal to make brass with copper, protective coating in steel, die casting, electroplating, automotive parts, electrical fuses, dry cell batteries, etc.

5. COBALT :

It is used in corrosion and abrasion resistant alloys for the production of industrial engines with steel,nickel. It's salt are used to produce blue colour in paint pigments, pottery, porcelain and glass. It is used as cutting tools.
