Rajasthan has a huge history associated with it. Along its long timeline there came many kings and one of them was Maharana Pratap Singh.

Rajasthani Kings kept court poets so that the poets can offer them some entertainment or cool their mind. Many poets displayed their skills in front of the king but the king only chooses one of them as the court poet.

Amar Rajputana was the court poet at the Maharana Pratap, a Rajput king of western region of India in the 16th century.

Maharana, like any other Rajput leader, was a keen observer of art and music, and hence supported Amar Rajputana to create his own compositions to narrate before him.

As it happens to be, he wrote several long and short poems that were liked by all, and hence to find out the best one is a seriously difficult task.
