Biogas is formed from the decay of biodegradable natural resources.  

The main constituent of Biogas is Methane or CH4 which constitute almost 75% of it.

It also contains carbon dioxide or CO2 and some amount of hydrogen sulfide (H2S).

Traces of water, nitrogen, and siloxanes are also present in the Biogas.  

Biogas has become an alternative economic source of energy not only for cooking but also for generating electricity.
