These are mostly commonly known plant hormones

- Auxins

- Cytokinin

- Gibberellins

- Ethylene

- Abscisic acid

Role of growth hormones:

Auxin is a plant hormone that is produced in stem and promotes cells elongation.

Cytokinin plays a role in shoot and root morphogenesis

Gibberellins play a major role in cell elongation and helps plant grow taller

Ethylene is a plant hormone that helps in fruit ripening

In the absence of muscle cells in plants, the movement of plant takes place due to osmotic pressure as well as water movement in and out of appropriate cells.

Axins- synthesized at shoot tip
