Heya friend!!
Rajdeep here...

I'm very sorry, I do not know the names of plant hormones, but definitely I can help you with hormones produced in animals, specially in humans; If you do not like my answer, let it be reported...; :)

1. GH or Growth hormone = Helps in cell division, and brings about total growth and development in the body; Secreted from the anterior lobe of Pituitary gland.

2. ACTH or Adreno-Cortico Tropic Hormones = Stimulates the cortex of Adrenal gland to secrete cortico-steroids; secreted from the Anterior lobe of pituitary.

3. TSH or Thyroid Stimulating Hormone = Stimulates the Thyroid gland to secrete thyroxine.

4. GTH or Gonado Tropic Hormone = (Interstitial Cell Stimulating Hormone in males, and Prolactin, Luteotropic Hormone and Follicle Stimulating Hormone in Females) Help in development of sexual characters.

5. Thyroxine = Secreted form the thyroid gland, this hormone is responsible for increasing the Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR of the body.

6. Insulin = Secreted from the Beta cells of Islets of Langerhans of the Pancreas, this hormone converts blood glucose into glycogen, hence reducing blood sugar level.

7. Glucagon = Secreted from the Alpha cells of Islets of Langerhans of the Pancreas, this hormone functions opposite to that of Insulin.

8. Adrenaline = Secreted from the Medulla region of the Adrenal gland, this hormone helps us to be ready for "fight or flight" (emergency) situation.

9. ADH or Anti Diuretic Hormone = Secreted from the posterior lobe of pituitary gland, this hormone increases the permeability of the walls of the nephrons (kidney tubules), due to which they absorb more water from the Ultrafiltrate/Glomerular filtrate and the urine thus formed is concentrated.

10. Testosterone, produced by the Leydig cells inside the testes of males, helps in development of accessory sexual characters in males.
Progesterone, secreted from the Corpus Luteum inside the ovaries in females, help in development of accessory sexual characters in females.

Thanks (^_^)

Hello,
There are five general classes of hormones: auxins, cytokinins, gibberellins, ethylene, and abscisic acid.
