To find : what is the fraction of primes numbers between natural numbers from 1 to 13.

Solution :

  • Natural numbers : are part of number system which include all the positive integers from 1 till infinity .
  • Natural numbers from  1 to 13 are : 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 11,12,13.
  • Prime numbers : numbers that have only two factors 1 and itself are called as prime numbers .
  • Prime numbers from 1 to 13 are : 2,3,5,7,11,13
  • Now , no. of given natural numbers  = 13

                   no. of prime numbers = 6

  • Therefore, required fraction is =\frac{6}{13}

Hence there are \frac{6}{13} prime numbers from  1 to 13.
