As per the question, the object will be placed between 15 cm and 25 cm from the pole of the mirror.

The mirror is concave in nature.

The focal length of the concave mirror [f] = 10 cm.

We are asked to determine the nature of image.

The radius of curvature of the mirror [R] = 2f

                                                                  = 2×10 cm

                                                                  = 20 cm

From above we see that we can place object in three different positions.

CASE-1 : Object is present after 20 cm.

In this case, the object is present between infinity and 2f.

Hence, the image will be formed between focus and centre of curvature. The image will be real, inverted and smaller in height as compared to the object.

CASE-2: Object is at 20 cm.

In this case, the object is present at the centre of curvature. Hence, the image will be formed at the centre of curvature. The nature of the image will be real and inverted. Image height will be equal to the object height.

CASE-3: Object is present between 20 cm and 15 cm.

In this case, the object is present between f and 2f. Hence, the image will be formed between infinity and 2f. So, the image will be real, inverted and highly magnified in nature.
