b^2-4ac=-5^2-4×2×6

=25-48

= -23 that is D <0

that is roots are not real and are distinct

to find the nature of roots we have a quadratic formula ..

D (discriminant) = b^2 - 4ac

put values

a = 2

b = -5

c = 6

therefore..

(-5)^2 - 4*2*6

= 25 - 48

=-23 < 0

as it is less than zero the nature of roots will be --- >>> **NO REAL ROOTS**
