atomic mass is 20 for neon

atomic mass = protons + neutrons

20 = 10 + neutrons

therefore

neutrons = 10

protons are always equal to electrons in uncharged species,

i tool protons = 10 because atomic no of neon is 10 and no of protons or electrons are always equal to atomic no.

i said atomic mass = protons + neutrons

as the mass of electrons is not considerd as that is negligible

also that is not actually atomic mass but is mass no but these two are different but at the level of class 9 the both are same

hope it helps uh✌
