The objectives of India's foreign policy are as follows -
a) To maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
b) Maintain regional peace stability through the projection of Indian power.
c) Settle and secure international borders.
d) Acheivement of world peace.
e) Solving conflicts by peaceful means.
f) Soveriengity and equality of all nations.
g) Opposition to colonialism and imperialism.

India’s foreign policy is based on some important aspect known as Panchsheel.


It is a policy beneficial to each and every person of both the countries.


1)There must be mutual respect for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.


2)There should be mutual non-aggression among countries.


3)Mutual non-interference in each other’s internal affairs .


4)There would be peaceful co-existence among countries.


5)Equality and cooperation for benefits of all the parties is a vital aspect of the panchsheel policy adopted by India.
