Neuron is the functional and structural unit of Brain. In collective terms, a group of interconnected neurons are called nerves.

In the diagram of neuron,

The dendrites receive stimulus from surroundings and carry messages towards the cell body. Then the information is passed thorugh cell body and then the Axon of the neuron carries the information from the cell body to the terminal buds of the neuron. After that information is passed on, to the adjacent neurons. This process continues.
