The formula for finding the perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+b).


For eg. The length of a rectangular box is 30cm and its breadth is 15cm.
find the perimeter of the box.

solution:-

⇒The length of the rectangular box is 30cm.

⇒The breadth of the rectangular box is 15cm.

⇒So, to find the perimeter the formula used is 2(l+b).

⇒The perimeter of the rectangle is 2×(30+15)= 2×45= 90cm.

⇒∴ the perimeter of the rectangle is 90cm.
