Given : polynomial, the product and sum of whose zeroes are 4 and 6 respectively.

To Find : the polynomial

Solution:

polynomial can be expressed

as  a( x²  -( Sum of zeroes )x  +( product of zeroes) )  where a ≠ 0

product of zeroes = 4

Sum of zeroes = 6

Hence polynomial

p(x)  = a ( x²  - 6x  +  4 )

few examples

P(x) = x² - 6x + 4

or

2x²  - 12x + 8
