Here are some of the postulates of Kinetic Theory of Gases,

➠ Gaseous substances, it contains tiny particles which are known as molecules.

➠ The molecules move randomly in all the possible directions.

➠ The molecules collide with each other(intermolecular collisions) and also collide with container walls.

➠ The pressure exerted by the gas is due to colloidal between molecules and container wall.

➠ Intermolecular  collisions are elastic collisions means during the collision the energy lost by the molecule exactly equal to energy gained by another molecule due to intermolecular collisions of kinetic energy of molecules continuously changes but total kinetic energy of gas will same.

➠ Kinetic energy of gas is directly proportional to absolute temperature

\pink{ \boxed{K.E\: ∝ \: T  }}

➠ The volume occupied by the molecule is negligible when compared to volume occupied by gas.

➠ In the gaseous substances, the intermolecular attractions are considered negligible.

KINETIC GAS EQUATION IS GIVEN AS

\red{ \boxed{PV\: = \dfrac{1}{3}mnc^{2}  }}

where,

✪ P = Pressure exerted by gas

✪ V = Volume of gas

✪ m = Mass of the molecule

✪ c = R.M.S velocity

✪ n = number of molecules(6.023 × 10²³)
