The precautions that should be taken when acids react with carbonates,are as follows -

• We should wear the protective gears during the experiment because we are dealing with acids. The protective gears like eye glasses,gloves,lab coat will save us from acid burning.

• In almost every carbonate and acid reactions,the carbon dioxide gas is evolved which is extremely harmful for us. So,we should be careful and we should avoid inhaling the evolved gas from the reaction.
