write the principle of chromatography
Answers
CHROMATOGRAPHY:-
¬ Definition- The process to separate the coloured components of a mixture is called chromatography.
¬ Principle- 1. The components should be coloured.
2. These coloured solutes should be soluble in the same solvent.
3. One of the components should be more soluble in water.
¬ Applications- 1. Separating pigments from their natural colours.
2. Separating drugs from blood.

Hi,
Here is your answer,
CHROMATOGRAPHY
Chromatography is the most modern and versatile method for separation, purification and testing the purity of elements and their compounds.
PRINCIPLE
Well, this method is based upon the principle that the different components of a mixture are absorbed to different on an adsorbent.
Chromatography is essentially a physical technique. It consist of two phases, the stationary phase and the mobile phase. The stationary phase can be either a solid(such as alumina , silica gel) or tightly bound liquid on a solid support(such as paper in which the liquid water is held by the solid cellulose). The mobile phase, on the other hand, can be a liquid, gas or a super critical fluid such as Co₂. Depending upon the physical state of the stationary phase and the moving phase and also on the process of passage of the moving phase, chromatography.
Hope it helps you !
