write the principle of the sublimation and its advantage in day to day life giving at least three real life example
Answers
Answer:
As the name suggested, it worked because of phase transition of ink.
When pressure and heat is applied, ink sublimated, and bonded with surface of material that is put it together in press machine.
Depend on material, that chemical bonding might be strong or weak. Therefore sublimation printing are often very picky with type of material that can be printed with specific ink type.
That is why if it is printer, your choice of paper are often very narrow, and if it is textile, you are often stuck with polyester because type of ink supplied often only works on polyester or treated surface.
example:-
Dry ice sublimes.
Snow and ice sublime during winter season without melting.
Moth balls sublime.
Room fresheners which are used in toilets sublimes.
Frozen foods will sublime and you will find ice crystals inside of the box.
Iodine, at 100 degree C sublimes from solid to toxic purple gas.
