The procedure to observe the cells in a leaf are:
- Take a sample of any given leaf.
- Tear it into two pieces and take a small portion of it.
- Place the small portion of the leaf on the slide and stain it with ant staining solution.
- Now, put a Glycerine or Water drop and carefully place the cover slip on top of the mount. Be cautious in doing so as there should not be any air bubbles inside. The Air bubbles might hamper the observation part.
- Now place the slide under a highly magnified Microscope and observe the cells of the leaf.
Hence, this is the way we observe the cells of a leaf.
