Answer:

Basis for Comparison Parenchyma Sclerenchyma

Function Parenchyma cells help in storage of foods, in gaseous exchange, and in photosynthesis. Sclerenchyma cells provide mechanical support to the plant. It also supports transportation of water and nutrients to the plants.

FUNCTIONS-:

Parenchymacellshelp in storageof foods, in gaseousexchange, and in photosynthesis.

Sclerenchymacells provide mechanical support to the plant. It also supports transportation of water and nutrients to the plants.

PROPERTIES-:

parenchyma collenchyma~

1)They form basic packing tissue.

2)Cells of this tissue are relatively unspecialised and may be oval, rounded or elongated in shape.

3)Their cell walls are thin.

4)These cells are living and show large intercellular spaces.

5)Cytoplasm is dense with a small nucleus.

sclerenchyma tissues~

1)Sclerenchyma cells have thick, lignified secondary walls, lack cell contents at maturity, and occur throughout all plant tissues.

2) These features make sclerenchyma tissues hard, rigid, and somewhat brittle.

3)  Sclerenchyma cells can occur as aggregates within ground tissue (sclereids or stone cells or as elongated fibers).
