Solid is one of the three main States of matter along with the liquid and gas. matter is the stuff of the universe that atoms molecules and ions makeup all physical substance. In a solid particles are packed closely together and are not free to move about with the other substances molecular motion for the particles in a solid is confined very small vibrations of the atoms. Around there fixed positions. There fore solids have a fixed shape that is difficult to change. Solid also have definite volume. that is , they keep there size no matter how u try to change them.....
