Addition of electron is reduction.

Fe+3  +   (e-)   --------->    Fe+2

In the above reaction the Ferric ion (+3) is reduced to Ferrous ion(+2).
(Also note that charge is balanced on both sides of the reaction.)

hope it helps :)

Answer: Fe^{3+}+e^-\rightarrow Fe^{2+}

Explanation: Reduction is the process in which an ion gains an electron. The oxidation state in this reaction is reduced.

The reaction for the reduction of Fe^{3+} is given by:

Fe^{3+}+e^-\rightarrow Fe^{2+}

In this reaction, the oxidation state of iron is getting reduced from 3+ to 2+.
